
Tea 108 – The Business of Tea
In this online course you’ll learn about the various layers that make up the tea industry—commodity trader and auctions, packers and retailers. Who are they, what do they do and what are the challenges faced in each sector.
Prerequisite: TEA 101
Note: Students are only permitted to enrol in 2 courses at the same time.

Length: Tea 108 is a six week course, with the suggestion that you designate approximately 3 hours each week to read, watch the video, complete the cupping and participate in online discussions. There will be a live tutorial held twice for you to participate in and ask questions. One will be a compulsory live tutorial, the second will be live open office hours. Students’ marks will be based on completing the lessons in ‘Schoology’, attending the tutorial, presentation, multiple choice examination, and blind cupping

Open Office: September 23, 2019 (11:30am – 12:30pm & 6pm – 7pm EST)
Exam: Blind Cupping, Written exam (online), Live oral presentation (Skype) – September 30, 2019
